Stacy and the kids headed home this afternoon. While Clint was out working, I got all the kids ready to go to the Clark Co. Fair/Rodeo. When Clint came home, we headed over. The kids have been talking about wanting to do mutton busting and tonight they finally had the chance. At the last moment, Judd and Saige decided they didn't want to do it, which is perfectly fine. The sheep had a lot of stickers in their wool and Judd was the first of our kids to go and once he put his hands down on the sheep he wanted to get off.
Jett went next and held on for a few seconds before he let go.
Sloan
was next and they were telling her to grab on to the sheep. Clint told
her to give the sheep a hug to get her to lean down and grab the
sheep. Sloan laid her body down on the sheep and laid her head down on
the sheep's head and gave it a sweet hug. During the hug, they opened
the gate to let the sheep out. She held on for a few seconds then fell
off. She was very tough and didn't cry like most of the other kids did.
The
kids each got a candy bar for participating. Larry and Diane came over
to watch them and brought a pop for each of them. They had their pop
and candy then played in the bouncy house and water slide, except for
Jett. He doesn't like to get wet unless it's in a pool on his terms, so
Diane took him over to watch the rodeo while the other kids played.
After we changed the kids wet clothes, we all watched the rodeo. We had a great evening.
