It was another very windy day. Despite this, Clint hauled hay all day. He had to single stack (instead of double) because of the wind, but still hauled in about 130 bales. Today I had the urge to clean "Daddy's area". Clint's area tends to collect stray bolts, screws, gloves, boots, random farm magazines and lots of dirt. I washed and put away all the coveralls and winter clothes. I get tired of all the boots on the floor, so I made a boot holder. While Jaide was taking a nap this afternoon, I cut a pallet, stained it, then screwed it up on the wall. The kids watched and "helped" me do it.

It was so windy out today. It looked like the Dust Bowl all afternoon. The kids didn't really want to be outside (nor did Clint). They watched quite a bit of tv today. The movies/shows the kids wanted to watch today were: Mickey Mouse Christmas 1 and 2, Curious George Halloween and Despicable Me.
Jaide has been sitting up on her own for at least a week. I always sit by her so I can catch her if she falls back or forward. She is so much more content to sit than be laying down. When she is on her tummy, she gets up on her elbows and knees and scoots and wiggles around. I have tried a few more times to give her the baby oatmeal cereal and she doesn't show much interest. She wants real food. I gave her some fresh baked butternut squash at lunch and she liked it. Judd and I are the only ones who eat it, so there was plenty. I followed the "rules" of feeding a baby with the boys and mostly with the girls, but not at all with Jaide. By this I mean starting with baby cereal then progressing from orange veggies to green veggies to fruits. I'm giving her bites of lots of things in no particular order. I think she'll turn out just fine.

Jaide is really enjoying eating real food. Today, I gave her some oatmeal and strawberries at lunch. I made roast with carrots and potatoes for supper and I mashed up some of the carrots and potatoes together and she really liked it.
The kids played outside a lot today.
A few pictures I forgot to add on Sunday...

This morning it looked like Easter threw up in our house. I spent the day trying to clean up Easter basket residue along with catching up on laundry and dishes. The 3 girls and I went over to Coldwater this afternoon to run errands. The boys stayed with Clint and helped him feed and check cows. It was warm and the kids enjoyed being outside.

Easter
Pat made bubble blowers for each of the kids. They loved it.
We took the kids down to the football field to run around.
Eating ice cream and eggs...
Jill gave each of the girls some of her jewelry.
The kids helped Grandpa Bob pick up rocks in the garden area. Jett really loved helping and really loved driving the tractor.
