This morning Jett came into our room when he woke up around 7 am. Clint was in laying down with Saige in her room because she had been fussing some. I had just finished feeding Jaide and she was wiggling around to get comfortable to go back to sleep. Jett leaned over to her and she moved her head and it bonked his head. He said, "That baby sure does have good aim."
Jett is usually always the first one awake and is always ready to come downstairs. Jaide went back to sleep this morning and I came downstairs with Jett. He is always ready to watch a show and have some cereal. His favorite show right now is PAW Patrol and the cereal he usually asks for is "Cheerios with milk and sugar". I got him his cereal then made some muffins for them. Jett was awake for at least 30 minutes before Judd came down, followed a few minutes later by Sloan, than and few minutes later by Saige and Clint. Sloan found a hole in Gilbert (her favorite stuffed kitty), so I sewed that up for her while she ate her muffins. Clint's normal routine this time of year is to go out first thing and take the heifers off feed. He dry-lots them during the day then turns them in on feed at night, which is supposed to help them calve during the day. He rides through all the cows to check for new babies, etc. Then he gets the pickup warmed up and comes to the house to pick up the kids that want to go with him to cake the cows. Jett and Saige always want to go. Judd and Sloan sometimes want to go and sometimes want to stay inside with me. Today, they both wanted to stay inside with me.
Jaide is staying awake for much longer periods during the day. She takes about 4 naps during the day on an average. She normally goes to sleep 9-9:30 pm and wakes up around 7:30 and 8:30 am. She usually wakes up about 2-3 times a night, but I feed her and she goes right back to sleep. She is such a good baby. She is very vocal and has such a sweet smile. She loves to watch the other kids play and they are very loving to her. Jaide has found her hands and has started grabbing at toys and is always chewing on them or sucking on her fingers. She is growing way too fast.

Although it was windy today, it was in the 50s so the kids were outside playing for awhile this afternoon. The girls were driving their car around and drove right into Clint's pickup. Instead of doing anything about it, they just sat there and spun their tires. You can see where the back tire was spinning.

The kids and I stayed inside all day today because it was cold. The kids (mostly Jett and Saige) were disappointed they couldn't go out and help their Daddy work. Thankfully, all of them took a nap again today. I didn't get much done today other than the normal cooking and dishes. I have some projects in mind that I want to start working on, I just need to find the time.
I love to hug and kiss and snuggle the kids at bedtime. No matter what kind of day that we have had, it's nice to end their day telling them how much I love them and letting them know that I'm thankful that I'm their Momma.

Today the kids and I went to Greensburg for Amelia's 4th birthday party. She wanted a princess party and that's what Stacy gave her.
On Thursday, Stacy came and picked up Jaide and I and we went to Canyon, TX. Stacy had an educational program to do for kids at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum on Friday morning. We did a little leisure shopping on Thursday afternoon, which I haven't done in about 4.5 years (I've done shopping, just not leisurely). I went to Walmart on Friday morning while Stacy did her thing, then we headed back. Clint kept the kids part of the time and they stayed at Larry and Diane's overnight since Clint is calving heifers and goes out to check them every couple hours. It was nice to have a little time away and I tried not to feel too guilty about it.

When we got home from Greensburg yesterday evening, the kids went out with Clint to check the cows and see if there were any new babies. They were feeding one of the tame cows (Dos) some cake and Sloan didn't pull her hand out quick enough and Dos bit her fingers. Sloan was crying when Clint carried her in the door. She was bleeding, but we got her hand washed off and put a bandaid on it and she is just fine. Today while she was playing, the scab broke open a little and it started bleeding again and Sloan said, "It's leaking! My finger is leaking!"
The kids love to help Clint walk the cows out of the corrals after he cakes them. Some days they walk and use their hupper sticks, but some days they like to drive. The other day it was in their gators, but today they were in the convertibles.

Today the kids and I went to Greensburg for Grandma Ann's birthday party. Her birthday is tomorrow, but we are all celebrating it with her today. We had lunch then birthday cupcakes. We all sang Happy Birthday to her, then all the kids blew out the candles before she got a chance to. They rented the swimming pool at the hotel for a couple hours this afternoon so we had a swim party. The kids loved it!

Romans 9:16-23
It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy. For Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. One of you will say to me: "Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?" But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?"' Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath-prepared for destruction? What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory.

I was cleaning up the kitchen this afternoon and Judd came in and said, "Is someone coming over?" I told him "No." He said, "Then why are you cleaning?"
Every single morning Jett asks Clint, "Daddy, can I work with you today?" He absolutely loves to go with Clint. He doesn't always handle it the best when Clint tells him he can't go. Clint is very good about taking the kids with him, but sometimes he can't. Jett asks him almost first thing every single morning.
The kids have been having some rough nights lately. Lots of coughing and a few bad dreams. They won't take naps anymore, but I made them go to their rooms this afternoon. The girls fell asleep pretty quick, but the boys wouldn't sleep so I just made them stay in their room and play for a little while. Jaide was also sleeping, so I sat in the recliner for a few minutes until she woke up. I had lots of things I could have and probably should have been doing, but I didn't feel like it.
The boys were outside with Clint while I was making supper tonight. The girls were wanting to "help" with the dishes, so I let them play in the sink while I held Jaide and made supper. They got their sleeves wet, so they decided it was best to just do dishes in your underwear.

Aunt Cynde spent the weekend visiting us. She made a big batch of cinnamon rolls with the kids on Saturday morning. We met the rest of the family at Daves for supper on Saturday. We all went down to OK to check cows on Saturday and Sunday. The kids enjoyed having someone else to entertain.
Today was a normal day around the ranch. Feeding cattle, kids playing outside, etc.
A few pictures from the last few days...

I pushed the dining room table out of the way and the kids were jumping off the chairs. Jaide was entertained watching them. (Excuse the dirty camera lens)

Clint hasn't been getting much sleep since he goes out every few hours to check the heifers. He took a little snooze with Jaide after lunch.
I laid Jaide down on the rug on the bathroom floor while I was helping one of the other kids. She was quickly joined by 2 more.
