I think it's cute how Sloan doesn't call Jaide by just her first name.  She always call her "Baby Jaide Renee".  At home, she will play with Jaide, but isn't overly involved with her.  However, when we are around anyone else, Sloan is Jaide's biggest protector.  She tells everyone, our closest friends and complete strangers, about her baby sister.  She says, "This is our baby, Baby Jaide Renee.  We brought her with us.  She is OUR baby."  She tells me a lot that "Baby Jaide Renee is OUR baby and no one elses!"

The high was in the low 60's today.  We had .8 inches of rain this morning.  It was cloudy all day long.  It was a very chilly, beautiful day.  I made pumpkin coffee cake for breakfast.  It was delicious and approved by 5 kids and 1 husband.  I made meatballs and fried potatoes for lunch and chili and cornbread for supper.  I love cooking and baking when it's cold.  The kids ran around outside in their underwear while I was making lunch.  It was raining and they loved running out in the rain then coming in and laying on towels then running back out.
