I didn't take the time to post last night and now I can't even remember what happened yesterday.  I know that we hung out at home and played and watched a movie (Frozen, again).

This evening, Saige was in the kitchen with me and was bending over and putting on hand on the floor and the other hand on her back and kicking one leg back in the air and asking me if I could do it.  She said, "It's pretty tricky."
Sloan keeps on saying, "I have a brilliant idea!" and then proceeds to tell me what her brilliant idea is.
I'm having a hard time believing that my baby boys will start school in 12 days.  I'm one of "those" parents that will miss my kids when they are at school.

The high today was 70 degrees.  It rained 1.90 throughout the day.  The kids went outside and played in the rain for a short time, but spent most of the day inside.  We built a fort in the dining room that entertained them quite awhile this afternoon.

Jaide has started smacking her lips when she is hungry or thirsty.  It is so cute to hear her start smacking when she wants some of what the other kids have.

I spent the day trying to catch up and get the house clean, which was unsuccessful.  I did get a few things done.  I moved a bunch of boxes of kids clothes around in Jaide's room in an attempt to sort through them.  I also spray painted our dining room light.  I have been wanting to do it for quite awhile and finally got it done today.  In the process of doing these things I messed up my back and I was pretty sore this afternoon, but it is feeling better this evening.  After Clint got some work done at home today, he went to town to help mow at the golf course.

We spent the day in Greensburg.  It was an enjoyable day with family.  We enjoyed church, a delicious lunch and swimming off and on all afternoon.

Stacy and the kids headed home this afternoon.  While Clint was out working, I got all the kids ready to go to the Clark Co. Fair/Rodeo.  When Clint came home, we headed over.  The kids have been talking about wanting to do mutton busting and tonight they finally had the chance.  At the last moment, Judd and Saige decided they didn't want to do it, which is perfectly fine.  The sheep had a lot of stickers in their wool and Judd was the first of our kids to go and once he put his hands down on the sheep he wanted to get off.
Jett went next and held on for a few seconds before he let go.

Sloan was next and they were telling her to grab on to the sheep.  Clint told her to give the sheep a hug to get her to lean down and grab the sheep.  Sloan laid her body down on the sheep and laid her head down on the sheep's head and gave it a sweet hug.  During the hug, they opened the gate to let the sheep out.  She held on for a few seconds then fell off.  She was very tough and didn't cry like most of the other kids did.
The kids each got a candy bar for participating.  Larry and Diane came over to watch them and brought a pop for each of them.  They had their pop and candy then played in the bouncy house and water slide, except for Jett.  He doesn't like to get wet unless it's in a pool on his terms, so Diane took him over to watch the rodeo while the other kids played.

After we changed the kids wet clothes, we all watched the rodeo.  We had a great evening.

This afternoon it was about 106 degrees.  The kids didn't want to swim in the pool, but instead wanted to swim in the "cow pool".  They have been asking for a boat, so the closet we could get is a pallet.  They enjoyed playing in the water and floating on the pallet.  We took Gunner out with us and he loved swimming in the water.

Stacy, Truman and Amelia came down this evening for a sleep over.  The kids had fun playing, swimming, watching Frozen and having a camp out on the living room floor.

I am thankful for an air conditioner, food in the freezer/refrigerator, a swimming pool to play in and cool off, 5 active and bright babies and their Daddy.

Thankfully, Saige was feeling better today.  She had a low grade fever all day and still said her left kidney was hurting, but overall she was feeling much better.  We're glad the antibiotic is working and we anticipate hearing what strain of infection the culture will grow.  She is one really tough cookie.

The kids pulled this shelf out of the toy room into the living room and we giving me a concert.  A few of the songs they were singing were It Is Well, How Great Is Our God, Jesus Loves The Little Children and Jingle Bells.

The kids played upstairs quite a bit today.  Saige found one of my aprons in the kitchen drawer and wanted it on.  It paired well with her pink princess shoes.

Most days I really try to cook my kids good meals.  Today was not one of those days.  I fed them hot dogs for lunch and frozen pizza for supper.  I felt really tired all day and didn't feel like cooking.

Tanner and Wyatt came over for a few hours this morning.  Wyatt is so sweet with Jaide and likes to hold her.  All the kids had fun playing with Wyatt.  They swam for awhile and played outside a lot.

After talking to Saige's doctors last week, it was decided to stop her prophylactic antibiotic.  We were very excited for this news.  She has taken antibiotic every day since she was 2 months old.  We were very optimistic that she no longer needed it and that her kidneys were working better.  Well, we found out today that we were wrong.  This afternoon while swimming, she started chilling, which isn't that abnormal.  She gets cold a lot while swimming since she has no body fat to keep her warm.  When we came inside she was under a blanket and was still shivering so I took her temperature and it was 102.7.  She was also saying that her side was hurting (where her left kidney is).  She was pretty miserable and threw up once.  Clint had to go to check the cows water in Oklahoma.  Saige was crying for him and we were both happy for him to walk back in the door.  Jaide was being fussy and it was hard for me to juggle them both.  We gave her tylenol and started a high power antibiotic.  She just wanted Clint to hold her and it helped her to stay calm.  She was feeling a little better at bedtime, but her fever hadn't come down any.  She hasn't been sick in almost 10 months.  It's always hard to watch her hurting.

Thankfully, Jett, Judd and Sloan had fun playing outside after supper.

After supper, we played outside.  The boys hit golf balls for awhile.  They were "playing men's night golf".  They all decided to dig in the dirt box, which led to scooping water out of Gunner's pool into the dirt box to make mud.
side note: You can see that our offspring have relocated the wood that should be by the fire pit.  They were hauling it around in the back of their Gators.
side note: You can see the weeds are out of control in my flower box (and the dirt box), but who cares.  Watching my babies play in the mud is more fun than pulling weeds.

Clint and I cleaned out the garage today.  Things have just gotten piled up in there and it feels so good to clean it up and throw a bunch of junk away.  Clint also put up a basketball goal at standard height for us.  Throwing away clutter and the capability to shoot hoops...both of these things are good for my soul.

The girls are enjoying wearing their new necklaces.  They like to stand by each other and put their necklaces together and say, "We're best friends!".

Stacy and I (and Jaide) went to Wichita today for a girls day.  We haven't had a day together in quite awhile, so it was nice to get away for the day.  Clint took the kids over to his parents for part of the day and they are having a sleepover there tonight.  I know I need to cut the umbilical cord(s), but I think of my babies when I'm not with them.  Stacy and I each got a toy/gift for each of our kids.  (We almost never buy the kids new toys.)  I got the boys each a little farm set that had a tractor with trailer, 2 small toy horses, 2 small farmers and 4 pieces of fence.  I got the girls each a necklace.  They are My Little Pony best friend necklaces that fit together.  I thought they might like it because one is pink and one is purple and they fit together to make a heart.  Stacy and I bought 1 item of clothing each for ourselves and that was it.  Today I became very aware that I am no longer young.  All of the young, trendy clothes were unappealing to me.  Bring on the sweater sets and mom jeans.

My early risers...

It was another cool, 60 degree day.  All the kids wanted their winter jammies last night for bed.
Tonight after baths/showers, the girls wanted to put some of their makeup on.  I had to clean them up again after they were done, but they had fun putting it on.
Saige thought Jaide needed some on her face too
