This morning I took the kids to the library for the summer reading time. The kids made colored sand necklaces, had a snack while listening to Mary read a few books, then checked out new books to bring home.
After that, we went to Greensburg to spend time with Papa and Grandma. We had lunch, then Mom held Jaide while she napped and I spread straw in the garden then went to the grocery store. The kids helped Dad pull sucker shoots off the grape vines, then they had popsicles on the front porch.
On our way back through Coldwater, we stopped at the health department so the boys could have their health assessment they need to start preschool in a couple months.
When we got home around 5 pm, the custom cutters had just started cutting our wheat. I'm glad to be getting it out of the field, but it's sad how pathetic the wheat is this year.
