This afternoon we moved our cows in Oklahoma to a different pasture.  Clint and Jaide led them with the pickup and the 4 big kids and I went behind them in the Ranger.  It was about 40 degrees and windy.  I could tell that I'm not used to being outside anymore because I was cold.  It only took us about 30 minutes from start to finish so it was pretty easy.  The kids love being able to help.

Clint was counting them as they walked into their new pasture

Helping Clint close the gate.  They were chanting "Teamwork.  Teamwork."

One of the gifts my Mom gave me for Christmas was a grain mill.  I have been wanting to try it out and felt motivated to do so today.  We had some wheat left from harvest that we kept in a coffee can so we used it.  The kids thought it was fun to turn the crank.  The instructions say that 2 cups of grain yield 3 cups of flour.
I decided to make cinnamon rolls with our freshly ground flour.  Judd really likes to help in the kitchen, so he was watching as I made the dough.
Call me a dork, but it's pretty rewarding making bread out of the wheat that you grew yourself.  Not to brag, but I thought the cinnamon rolls tasted pretty good.  I ate one before I remembered to take a picture.  I could eat half the pan right now.  Literally.
